Prism Centre for Audiology and Children's Rehabilitation serves children and youth from birth to 18 years of age with physical, developmental, or communication needs.
This mobile was created specifically to teach sailing to children with disabilities. Access BOOM uses specially designed Access Dinghies to meet the needs of sailors with both physical and cognitive disabilities. The Access Dinghies have a weighted centerboard/keel so they will not capsize, comfortable forward facing seat, joystick steering, and roller furling sail. This program provides participants with a fun and safe opportunity to learn how to sail. The CYA certified instructors can teach the CYA White Sail levels, and can modify the program to meet the participant’s needs and abilities
